Tooled Leathers Patricia's tooled leathers are iconic, beloved, and instantly recognizable. Leathers Our Burnished Leather is often used for our tooling designs. It is an undyed vegetable tanned leather that is smoothly polished to create a top grain leather, which makes it ready for spraying permanent color. It is burnished by hand, and tooling is then applied. Vintage Vegetable Tanned Leather is used for many of our special tooled collections, continuing the tradition of hand-tooled European leather but with Patricia's exclusive designs. It is a vegetable tanned leather made with an aniline water soluble dye, which does not mask the natural grain, markings or scars of the hide.     Tooled Designs Rose Tooled is Patricia's original tooled design and was inspired by her love of the rose gardens in the English countryside.
